Oma's Café Review ~ Pucón, Chile

Now that over a year has gone by, I thought it would be a good time to get a move on with the rest of my posts about Chile. Life and other posts kept getting in the way but I can't let all this good materials for posts go to waste!

While we were in Pucón, we spent the afternoon in the downtown area. After a couple of hours of wandering around, we started to feel a little peckish. I wanted to find La Crêperia The Louis, which I remember from our last time visiting having the most amazing crepes. We didn't have any luck finding them but we stumbled across Oma's Café and we remembered it as a favorite from last time as well.
The restaurant has such an inviting feel when you enter. While my Mom was looking forward to something sweet, Gabrian and I checked out the menu to find something to split.

The service was great. They have such a great staff there. They let me practice my horrible spanish with them and kept a smile on their face the entire time (very patient people!).

The restaurant was light and airy. It was just the kind of place you wanted to relax with a good book for a couple of hours.

Gabrian and I shared a burger and an order of fries. The burger was huge (I think it was about the size of Gabrian's head). The burger and  fries really hit the spot. The fries we hot and crispy while the burger was juicy and the bun was to die for. Definitely plan on splitting unless you have a huge appetite!

Mom went for the most incredible coffee drink in the world. That is actually chocolate mousse on the top of the coffee (I just called her in the middle of writing this post and we were reminiscing about this coffee). It was a decadent dessert on top of a bold coffee underneath.
The visit was so good, that when I had an afternoon to myself a couple of days later, that I made a solo trip to Oma's. I may have also scarfed down a piece of cake to go with my mousse coffee.

Overall, we had a fantastic time here and we can't get wait to go back as soon as we get back to Chile. If you would like to try Oma's Café for yourself, they are located at Lincoyan 384, Pucón, Chile.
