Travelodge Peoria Hotel and Conference Center Review ~ Peoria, IL

I had not planned on writing a review for the Travelodge in Peoria. I didn't take pictures of the room or the outside. However, I was about to do a wrap up post on our trip to Illinois and realized how wonderful the lobby was at the hotel (based on the large amount of pictures I took of it) and decided to do a brief review.
The hotel was formerly known as the Grand Hotel and Conference Center and it still had the feel to it. You could tell at one time that it was pretty fancy. Our room looked out into the lobby and I absolutely loved that. It was fun to sit in the room and see the hustle and bustle going on downstairs.

The hotel was very budget friendly (which was my favorite part). It was clean but had a worn feel to it. If we find ourselves in Peoria we would definitely stay here again. The rooms were spacious and breakfast was included. In addition to that, they had an inside pool in the lobby!

Breakfast was basic but definitely offered enough selections to keep us satisfied. I loved the lush and tropical feel of the breakfast area. I almost forgot we were in Illinois because it had such a Floridian feel to it. They also had a restaurant on site that we never had a chance to try out. Based on the daily specials they offered it sounded like a great option for an easy dinner while staying at the hotel. The next time we are there, I will definitely give them a try.

The boys were excited to see the arcade section. While it wasn't huge it was nice to have a small selection to entertain them in the evening.
The indoor pool was fantastic and I loved that it was in the lobby. Riley took Gabrian to the pool for a swim one afternoon while I was taking a rest (the long drive had caught up to me) and I was able to peek out into the lobby and check on them.

Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay at the Travelodge. Fingers crossed that everything works out with Riley and Bradley University. If Riley goes to school in Peoria, I believe that the Travelodge will become our go to place to stay while there. If you would like to try them out for yourself, they are located at 4400 N. Brandywine Drive, Peoria, IL.
