Rusty's Wharf Fish & Chips Review ~ Pataskala, Ohio

When the boys and I went on our road trip last month, I tried to scope out as many Groupons as I possibly could to help reduce some of the costs of the trip. Rusty's Wharf was one of the deals I purchased. I was able to get it during one of their sales where I got an additional 20% off the deal. For about $10 we were able to get 2 baskets with 2 large sodas and 2 sides.
My GPS didn't like the address and we ended up in a random neighborhood (this is my GPS's fault or technically mine since I have updated the maps in over 6 years). We finally found our way to the strip mall and headed in.

I will tell you up front. These were probably the most friendly staff at any restaurant I have ever gone too. They were all great, but especially the cashier. She is one of those people that just seems so happy to help you and was so patient with us as we perused the menu (you order at the counter and they bring the food out to you).

Once we finally figure out what we wanted, we found a table and waited for the food to come out.

They had a super cute nautical theme going on in the restaurant. It was totally not what I was expecting for a restaurant in a little strip mall but I loved it. We enjoyed checking out all the decorations around the place.

Gabrian picked the Shrimp basket. These shrimp were huge! I was able to even snag one. The french fries were great. They were hot and crispy and were really great.
Riley ordered the Fish Basket. Again it was another great choice. The fish was delicious and Riley really enjoyed it.

I ordered the Coney Dog which is very similar to a Hot Wiener (for my RI peeps) except the onions were larger, and the hot dog and bun were different and there was no celery salt....ok, on second thought they are not similar at all. I also picked the Mac & Cheese and Baked Beans. I loved all of this but I loved the Baked Beans the most. They had a great flavor and a nice thick sauce.
Gabrian finished off the meal with one of their cookies. He loved it and for $.50, it is an amazing bargain.

Overall, we loved our lunch there and we hope to make it  back through Ohio again in the near future to eat at Rusty's again. If you would like to try them out for yourself, they are located at 60 Oaks Meadow Drive, Pataskala, Ohio.
