The Local Buzz Cafe Review - Cape Elizabeth, Maine
Gabrian and tried out The Local Buzz Café yesterday for breakfast. As usual I had a Living Social deal for $14 worth of food and drink. I was really hoping we would like it because I had purchased a second deal for dinner. Fortunately, we will definitely not mind going back again.
It was a very comfortable feeling café with lots of interesting seating choices. They ranged from high bar stools to comfortable looking recliners. I could definitely see myself settling into one of those chairs with a good book and a cup of coffee. They also had a bar with seating and what looked like a full bar offering.
I love any restaurant that has their menu written in chalk on a board. There is just something about that, that makes me feel that I am about to get a delicious meal. I am usually proven right about that. Our deal allowed us to choose either breakfast or lunch items and we went the breakfast route.
After placing our order at the counter the person at the front let me know that I hadn't reached my $14 so Gabrian and I ordered a macaroon to share for our breakfast dessert. For drinks Gabrian chose the Hot Chocolate ($2.70) and I had the small Iced Coffee ($1.95). We both really enjoyed our drinks. My coffee was a delicious blend and strong which is my preference.
Gabrian and I both chose breakfast sandwiches ($4.00). I had bacon and Gabrian went with the sausage. My only complaint witch is more of a personal preference is the cheese seemed to be Swiss Cheese which is not my favorite. I am embarrassed to admit that I would prefer American Cheese. Otherwise we both really enjoyed our sandwiches.
We both enjoyed our time here and look forward to trying them again in the near future. One observation we had was how quiet the other patrons were a the Café. I am not sure if that is normal, I hope not because Gabrian and I chatted the whole time we were there so I hope we were not to annoying.
If you would like to try The Local Buzz Café yourself, they are located at 327 Ocean House Rd., Cape Elizabeth, Maine.
