Saturday Weight Watcher's Series

I gained 1.8 lbs. this week....I don't want to talk about.

Ok, fine I will stop pouting about it and let you know my thoughts. My initial reaction was anger. I was so sure I was going to hit 25 lbs. gone and I was so excited to come back and report it. With this gain I am back to having lost 22 lbs., so I am now 3 lbs. away from that goal instead of the 1.2 I had to go last week.

I really felt like I had worked the program and had added in a huge amount of activity. I had earned 34 Activity Points last week which was the best yet. I counted my points and didn't go in the red. What the heck happened.

After having some time to think about it, I know what happened. I am a dirty liar when it comes to points. Some point along the way I decided that milk, olive oil, and wait for it....Cocktails had no point values (wasn't that convenient for me?). I also was always going for the lower point option in the tracker even when I knew my item should have the higher points.

So this coming week I have a renewed vow to count ALL my points and count them accurately. I started last night and counted the points for my two Cosmopolitans. Which is 13 points in case anyone was curious (yowzer!). If I want to eat more, than I am going to have to earn activity points to get the food.

On a positive note I had a few things that I was proud of this week. I mentioned that I earned more activity points this week. Well, this morning, Riley and I completed Week 1/Day 1 of the Couch to 5K program. I am so happy that Riley and I started this and so proud that I actually completed my first training session. I wasn't sure that I would be able to do that at my weight. I look forward (well I still hate exercise so kind of look forward) to doing the next session.

My other good news of this week is that I went to Nordstrom's Off the Rack Store in South Portland and checked out their plus size section. I tried on the 3X (which is the largest they offer) and some of the tops actually fit. I wouldn't say they looked good on me but I could tell it wouldn't be long before they did. I am so excited to be close to fitting into 3X which will really open up some shopping opportunities for me (I dream about the day of shopping in the regular section...but lets not get to far ahead).

I am ready for this week and seeing what happens next in my journey. See you next week when I report my new weight!
