Today was an exciting day in our house. It was Riley's 16th Birthday. I can't believe that 16 years have already gone by. We woke up to some birthday snow today. Not quite what we were expecting in mid-April.
I did not enjoy scraping off the snow from my windshield today. I tried to make the wipers do the work but they weren't having any of that and I had to get back out and go to work. Thank goodness for the heated seats in the new car. At least I can pretend I am somewhere tropical (well, at least my butt is).
After work today I had to go to Target because I am the world's worst procrastinator. I still hadn't bought Riley's birthday card. My goal was to pick out the creepiest card for his 16th birthday and I think I did a pretty good job.
The worst part is I am not sure if it was the card makers intention to be that creepy. Maybe they thought they were just putting out a really cute card.
Even though we went out to dinner last night for Riley's birthday, I couldn't bare the thought of making anything tonight either. Hey...give me a break, I am still recovering from giving birth (16-years ago). I pulled out one of my handy dandy Groupons and we headed to Pom's Thai Restaurant in South Portland. My Beef Massaman Curry was as delicious as ever. Ever since I discovered this curry I can't seem to get myself to order anything different at the Thai restaurants.
I am going to spend the rest of the evening trying to not go over my points (I am still trying to come out from the red from Riley's birthday dinner last night). I will also probably spend some time picking up the house getting ready for my Mom coming tomorrow.
For a bonus ending I am adding some pictures from Gabrian's dance class on Saturday. We normally are not allowed in the classroom but this was one of two times a year we can go in. Gabrian was wearing his brand new Superman Shirt and I was able to get some awesome shots of him jumping.
