Today on my walk (that is 2 days in a row for anyone that is counting) I saw a snake go across the trail. Ok...it didn't attack me or even stop to look at me. I also won't mention that it was as skinny as pencil and about as long. But there was real danger. It might have touched my foot by accident and then I would have peed my pants. That would have made a very awkward rest of the work day. So as you can see it was clearly a snake attack.
Today is going pretty well. I started off with an egg for breakfast with a whole wheat English muffin. I really feel like that has helped me stay full all day. I think it just got me in the right frame right from the beginning of the morning. I have 3 points left for a dessert tonight. Not exactly sure what I am going to have yet but it will either be a smart ones or make a peanut butter sandwich with my Sara Lee's 45 Calorie Bread and Jif Whip's Creamy Peanut Butter.
I made the most awesome dinner tonight. I had a recipe that I found on Weight Watcher's website. It was called Barbeque Chicken Chili. It was so good. It is very similar to a regular chili. It is made with ground chicken and has a sauce that is very reminiscent of BBQ sauce. The portion was quite generous. Right now I get quite a few points each day so I double downed.
I just finished an English Muffin Pizza. I used a Hannaford's 100 calorie English Muffin with 1 slice of Hannaford's No Fat American cheese, and Trader Joe's pizza sauce. I just sprinkled some diced onions on top. A very delicious evening snack. I like to snack at night and have almost a second meal. It makes me feel more satisfied at night.
I am so proud that I walked again today. Today was definitely warmer and I felt slightly gross after the walk so I will have to think about how to deal with that. Hopefully I can keep this up. I want to go tomorrow because the next 2 days are supposed to rain. I am aiming to walk at least 3 days during the work week (although I would not object to more that that) and then be active on the weekends.
I have also looked into joining the YMCA in Portland. I would like if all of us were more active. The only thing is I cannot afford the monthly fee of $63 a month for a single adult with children. They do offer financial aid so I just mailed in my application. Fingers crossed that they accept it. I stated on the form I could not afford more than $25 a month. I will let you know when I hear back from them.
Hope everyone has a great night! I will try to check in tomorrow.
